TDK Construction was founded in 1993 by Dan Khatri with a simple idea: treat every client's project like it's your own. Thirty years and 400+ projects later, that idea still runs the company, now alongside his daughter Tina Khatri.

We're a full service commercial general contractor and a certified women owned, minority business enterprise. Our clients come back. One has trusted us with over 100 projects.

Dan Khatri

Dan Khatri is the founding President of TDK Construction Company, a role he has held since establishing the company in 1993. With over three decades of leadership, Dan has built TDK into a trusted and highly reputable construction firm in Houston, completing more than 400 projects across the city and its surrounding areas. TDK's portfolio spans diverse sectors, including community centers, cultural and nonprofit spaces, gas stations, retail centers, warehouses, office buildings, restaurants, hotels, multifamily residences, medical buildings, banks, schools, and libraries, with project values ranging from $300,000 to $10 million.

With more than 50 years of experience in civil engineering, project management, field supervision, and design, Dan brings unparalleled expertise to every project. Before founding TDK, he spent 18 years at SpawGlass Construction as a lead Project Manager and Superintendent, where he oversaw large scale projects such as the Austin Convention Center, Park Plaza Hospital, Klein High School, One Commerce Green, and Keegan's Bayou Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Dan earned his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. His dedication to precision and quality has made him a cornerstone of TDK Construction's success and a respected leader in the construction industry.

Tina Khatri

Tina Khatri is the Chief Executive Officer of TDK Construction Company, a women owned minority business recognized for creating meaningful spaces across Greater Houston. Since stepping into the role of Vice President in 2008, she has applied her expertise from Huron Consulting Group and her academic foundation in Finance and Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin to modernize operations and drive sustained growth.

Under the guidance of her father, Dan Khatri, Tina has spent over 17 years leading TDK to deliver exceptional results. She has overseen more than 100 diverse projects, including a five story, 125 room hotel, McDonald's locations, office buildings, and the landmark Eternal Gandhi Museum of Houston.

Beyond her work with TDK, Tina is a passionate advocate for community development and advancing women in commercial real estate. She serves on the Board of Trustees for the Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston (EGMH), cofounded the South Asian Women Entrepreneurs Alliance (SAWEA), cochairs the Groundbreaking Committee with CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women), and is an active member of NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction).

Tina's vision is rooted in building spaces that matter while empowering communities. Her leadership reflects an unwavering commitment to precision, collaboration, and excellence.
